Far-Throwing Floody Beam
The Nitecore MT42 LED search light features an incredibly bright and far-throwing beam that is perfect for use outdoors, such as while hunting or while on a search-and-rescue mission. The hand-held flashlight offers five output modes ranging from an 1800-lumen Turbo to a 1-lumen Moonlight mode. This means the same light you use while searching the forest can also be used to illuminate your tent at the end of a long day. The Nitecore MT42 is more than just a bright flashlight. This hand-held search light is equipped with a special Precision Digital Optics Technology to create an unbeatable 470-meter (1,542 feet) beam throw. That's 0.3 miles! The Nitecore MT42 LED flashlight also offers three specialty modes (Strobe, SOS, and Beacon) for silent communication and protection.

Power Indication Keeps You Informed
This LED search light was designed with longterm search-and-rescue missions in mind. The Nitecore MT42 is equipped with a patented power indicator light, located within the metal side switch, to notify a user of the batteries' power level. To activate the power indicator, first, make sure the light is turned off. Next, simply press and hold the side switch and then press the tail switch until you hear a click. The blue power indicator light will flash three times, when power levels are above 50%, twice when power is below 50%, and once when battery levels are below 10%. Now there is no excuse for a dead battery to catch you off-guard. The Nitecore MT42 LED search light runs on two 18650 button top batteries, which are sold separately. Please note that CR123A and RCR123A batteries are not compatible with the flashlight and could potentially damage the LED.

Dual Button Operation 
The Nitecore MT42 uses a two-button design to simplify the operation process. To activate the constant-on functionality of the search light, simply press the tail switch until you hear a clicking sound. To cycle through the five different modes (Ultra-low, Low, Medium, High, Turbo), you will then tap the side switch located below the head of the light. This LED search light is also capable of producing a momentary-on output through a half press and then a hold of the forward tail switch. If you would like to instantly enter Turbo mode, simply press and hold the side switch. Finally, the Nitecore MT42 offers instant access to the specialty modes by quickly tapping the side switch twice for Strobe. Once in Strobe, press and hold the switch to cycle through the different specialty outputs. This LED searchlight, with its extremely bright and far-throwing beam, is an excellent addition to any law enforcement professional's or hunter's arsenal.
